A well-rounded affair
Siemens Energy is a trademark licensed by Siemens AG.
Some buildings never go out of style, such as the former Demag headquarters in Duisburg, now the headquarter of Siemens Energy. During the building’s renovation, old features were preserved and
new ones added, turning necessity into optimisation. The lighting concept echoes the design language of the historic building and opens the reception and circulation areas.
To create a friendly and well-lit reception area, the cantilevered canopy in the entrance area was fitted with two light lines integrated into the roof over a total length of more than 25 metres, supplemented
by a light line flush-mounted into the floor.
In the foyer and reception hall, Linargo pendant luminaires float from the ceiling as circular, single-level special designs with diameters of 1800 and 2400 mm.
The highlight, however, is the multi-level version of the pendant luminaires in the stairwell cores. The powder-coated colour is matched to the colour of the handrails, and here to there are different diameters
ranging from 1000 to 2400 mm. If necessary, the LEDs and light lines can be replaced individually,
which ensures long-term sustainability.
