Fast and chic

Porsche shows how to charge luxury electric cars in style with its High Power Charging Lounges. The charging process should be as fast and chic as the cars themselves. The lighting design was conceived
by a.g Licht for the first location in Bingen am Rhein and implemented in exactly the same way at the stations in Ingolstadt, Koblach and Würzburg.

The charging stations with the adjoining lounge are located under a wide cantilevered roof reminiscent of an aeroplane wing. Slim and almost floating, it elegantly connects the charging ramps with the
lounge building. Embedded in the underside of the wing construction, two custom-made light lines follow the shape of the roof and seem to seamlessly connect the exterior with interior. The light lines, with thir pleasant light tone of 4000 K, are perfectlymatched to the wooden ceiling of the facility, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

One of the biggest challenges was the precise integration of the lightlines along the curved edge of the roof. However, seamless transitions without dark zones create perfect light homogeneity and a
flowing light aesthetic. Thanks to their mounting profiles, the light lines can be replaced individually
as needed, ensuring long-term sustainability
